Buckminster Fuller designed the functional geodesic dome. But he might never imagined a family living in a solar dome in the Arctic. The domes are good for weather and the solar panels are placed over the dome to capture as much solar radiation, more so than a traditional house, and use the energy supplied to run the “house”.
In this case, the family lives in Norway and even in the harshest conditions, is able to make this dome living work for them. The family has lived more than three years in the dome and has made it their home.
