Using a rocket stove to heat things up is smart and practical. In this case, this guy uses a rocket stove that is wound with copper tubing and when it heats up the water gets to more than 185 degrees.
Rocket stoves don’t require a lot of fuel; you can use almost any kind of wood you have lying around.
In the video below, he demonstrates a process of thermosiphoning. This is a method of heating based on natural convection; the water circulates without the needing to be pumped.
So we have two features;
- the rocket stove
- the water heater.
Then after you get a rocket stove rigged up, get some twigs and other scraps of wood for the fire. Then, some copper tubing that you can wrap around the stove. Almost there.
Then a source of contained water.
You’re all set; an efficient way to heat water.
Scott Hunt engineer775 Practical Preppers, shows you how to heat water using a rocket stove.
